Canada - Honda car manufacturers to innovate again. Japanese manufacturers are just showing their latest concept car. The car was named the Honda GEAR Concept that takes inspiration from their popular cars, the Civic hatchback in the 1970s.
GEAR Honda Honda Concept shown at the Montreal Auto Show in Canada says design director Dave Marek Honda as one of Honda's research in order to create a future compact car.
Marek said that GEAR Concept Honda is deliberately shown in Canada, not in Detroit, the United States, which currently also hold auto shows on a larger scale because Canada is considered more open to small cars.
With this car, Honda would like to see a future compact car market and researching what consumers preferred before they prepare the car on a mass scale.
"This concept can sit in the studio for five years, or we can look at it and say 'Oh people really liked this proportion or design cues' and put them in our next vehicle," he said as quoted by Auto Guide
Honda Design Studio designed GEAR Honda California is quite futuristic and with two doors GEAR was somewhat smaller than the Honda Fit / Jazz.
The interior of this car has not looking Honda, but Marek said that the interior will have high technology. For example, the indicator panel will be able to change color according to the driving mode selected riders.
Screen in the center console can also be adjusted by the driver to be able to choose how information is displayed.
