New engines for the Honda Civic WTCC
Honda released a new engine for used cars racing HR412E Honda Civic WTCC (World Touring Car Champioship) 2013. This machine was developed by Honda R & D in Tochigi.
HR412E kitchen runway capacity of 1.6 liter 4-cylinder turbo charged direct injection gasoline and fuel. Honda claims this engine suitable for use in standard FIA WTCC.
"In the sustainable development of the internal combustion engine, thermal efficiency becomes an important key in the repair and without exception in a racing machine," said Daisuke Horiuchi, Honda WTCC Development Project Leader. "And HR412E machine born from such a process: aims for higher efficiency."
Honda driver Gabriele Tarquini rely on two (Italy) and Tiago Monteiro (Portugal). Both will race in the WTCC 2013 using two new Honda Civic.
