Honda launches body paint environmentally friendly facility
PT. Honda Prospect Motor (HPM) inaugurates service facilities as well as service and spares body & paint Honda Motor Trio in Banjarmasin. Dealers were applying water-based paint systems that are environmentally friendly.
"Trio Honda Motor was the first dealer in Banjarmasin that have implemented water-based paint systems," said President Director of PT. Honda Prospect Motor Tomoki Uchida in a press release received by AFP.
Body and paint facility is dealer is applying green paint system using demineralised water (water-based paint) as a solvent so as to reduce the evaporation of VOCs into the environment.
In addition to reducing hazardous waste that can contaminate soil and water, water-based paint systems are also safer for the health of people around.
Body & paint facility consists of two floors it has a land area of 8750 m2 and a building area of 2123 m2. To deliver the service, is now available for general repair bay as many as 10 pieces, body & paint bay for as many as 10 pieces, bay parking as many as 24 pieces, and spray booth by 2 pieces
Until now, Honda has 44 dealers who have had body and paint facility. Of these, 38 of which dealers have been using water-based paint material on the body and paint facility.
