Honda Brio Ready to Fight Another Cheap Car Manufacturers
Less than one month, PT Honda Prospect Motor (HPM) has launched a city car class car, the Honda Brio. The car is priced from Rp149 million to Rp170 million it managed to get a place in Indonesia. The evidence, so far successfully sold to 2,000 units.
However, if the Indonesian government policy regarding cheap car environmentally friendly (low cost and green car) sales of Honda Brio in the country will be disrupted.
Because cheap car that cost will be much cheaper than Brio. Price less environmentally friendly cars is expected to priced from Rp90 million to Rp100 million.
In response, Marketing & aftersales Service Director of PT Honda Prospect Motor Jonfis Fandy, affirms that the Brio will not be affected by the eco-friendly cheap cars that are currently still in the formulation stage of the Indonesian government.
"We are not concerned with the cheap car is environmentally friendly. Judging from the segment just different. Brio car is not cheap," said Jonfis Fandi, in the Honda Brio Exclusive Media Test Drive, in London, Wednesday (29/08/2012).
Jonfis added, environmentally friendly low-cost car segment with the Honda Brio is definitely different. The government wants a cheap car that is cheap and environmentally friendly. While Brio does not fit into that segment.
"The public must know, if he was a royal consumers against Honda for sure it will keep buying Honda. Cheaper for environmentally friendly cars we have and are in talks with the Japanese," said Jonfis.
