Honda CB150R StreetFire ready to chase V-Ixion

Honda CB150R StreetFire siap kejar V-IxionMotorcycle market in 2012 may experience a decline due to the impact of regulations DP. But not so in the sport bike segment. Categories motor type is increasing, and has great potential.

According to Johannes Loman, Vice President Director of PT Astra Honda Motor (AHM), is currently the market leader Honda AT & Cub category. But Honda's sales performance sports categorized be continually improved.

"The market is dominated by sport category with 83.7 percent of mid segment, where Honda has only one model in this segment," added Johannes.

According to Johannes, mid-market sports segment dominated by young people who want a sport with aggressive design, slim and lightweight, and has high performance. "So we launched Honda CB150R StreetFire to accommodate the needs of this segment," he said.

In the mid-sport category, sales of Honda CB150R will compete directly with the Yamaha V-Ixion. As a market leader in the sportbike class, according to data from the Indonesian Motorcycle Industry Association (AISI), Yamaha sales for this segment to reach 41 657 units in November.

The number of sales is donated V-Ixion 28,669 units, 11,771 units Byson and Scorpio Z 1217 units. V-Ixion still maintain the predicate as the best-selling sport bike in Indonesian market.

Throughout the month of January to November 2012, total sales of the V-Ixion recorded 302,898 units. The number of sales in this period were the highest since the V-Ixion was first issued in 2007.

Increased sales charts V-Ixion to date has already exceeded the number of sales per year since it was released in 2007. But with the presence of Honda CB150R StreetFire will further heat up the competition.
