Three Honda products (Freed, Jazz and CR-V) is still a major supplier of the biggest selling throughout the month of May 2012. Honda Freed successfully contributed sales of 2363 units in May. Thus, Honda Freed has sold 7,000 units throughout Indonesia during the year 2012 and a market share of 12% MPV. Family MPV is once again being the largest contributor to total sales of Honda's sales in the month of May 2012.
Honda Jazz also recorded good sales figures for the month of May, which sold 2344 units, an increase of 60% compared to the previous month which sold 1461 units. Thus, as of May 2012, the Honda Jazz has sold more than 6565 units across Indonesia and a market share of 25% in the hatchback class.
New Honda CR-V which was launched on April 26 and received a good reception in the Indonesian market. New Honda CR-V recorded sales of 1641 units in May. In total, Honda CR-V has sold 4368 units during the year 2012 and a market share of 20% SUV.
Jonfis Fandy, Marketing & aftersales Service Director of PT Honda Prospect Motor said, "With the launch of new models, Honda Freed managed to donate a sizeable sales figures for Honda. Meanwhile, New Honda CR-V also managed very well received by consumers in Indonesia. We believe the launch of new Honda models are accompanied by increasingly sophisticated technological innovation and will provide a refresher in the Indonesian automotive market. "
Meanwhile, the premium MPV Honda All New Honda Odyssey successfully sold 146 units in May 2012 and has sold 436 units during the year 2012.
In the sedan segment, the new Honda City that was launched on May 23 and has sold more than 239 units and a market share of 10% mini sedan.
Supply Honda sedan models other than Thailand still blocked so that no record sales in May. In May alone, Honda recorded total sales of 6733 units in May 2012, an increase of 80% compared to the previous month which is only sold 3732 units. In total, as of May 2012, Honda has recorded as many as 18 608 unit sales.
