Establish Honda Beat King Motorcycles
Honda is still the king claimed the seller of motorcycles in Indonesia. During the month of August 2012, PT Astra Honda Motor (AHM) managed to grab a market share of 61.03 per cent with sales of 261,946 units.
Based on data from the Indonesian Motorcycle Industry Association (AISI), total motorcycle sales in the domestic market in August recorded only 429,236 units. All brand sales declined last month due to a long holiday factor as Eid.
However, in the last month Honda listed as one of the brands that experienced the smallest decline in sales, which is only 22 percent compared to August last year.
Deputy GM Sales Division AHM Thomas Wijaya assess the decline in sales last month as affected by short days during the Idul Fitri holiday Eid.
"This is a yearly cycle of the domestic motorcycle market by diminishing the number of working days due to Eid holidays. We expect to rebound in September, "he said.
In the segment of motor scooter, Honda continued to show its dominance after successfully reaching 76.32% market share through sales of 189,495 units.
Honda Beat biggest contribution to the sales figures of 96,154 units, followed by Honda Vario series 76,394 units, Honda Spacy 5355 units, Honda Scoopy 11 573 units, and 19 units of Honda PCX.
"This achievement reflects consumer confidence in the Honda scooter was already known to the public as a product of fuel-efficient, powerful, stylish, and features the most complete safety."
That also is the unwavering leadership in the motorcycle segment. In the last month, AHM won 55.34% of market share after successfully selling 59,109 units. Biggest contributors in this segment is the Honda Supra series with sales of 34,039 units, followed by Honda Revo series 19 493 units and 5577 units of Honda Blade.
In the sports segment, Honda's sales in the last month recorded 13,342 units. Honda New Megapro donate penjualan10.405 rate units, followed by 1,500 units of Honda Tiger, Honda CBR 1247 series Honda CS1 units and 190 units.
