Although covered negative issues such as rising loan payment threshold, Indonesia car market was still sexy. The proof is in the month of May, Honda managed to sell 6733 cars, up 80% from the previous month.
PT. Honda Prospect Motor is selling Honda cars in Indonesia announcing that they managed to increase sales in the month of May, after the launch of various new products ranging from Honda New Honda CR-V on 26 April, New Honda Freed on May 8, and also New Honda City on May 23 last.
After launch, the New Honda Freed contributed the highest sales figures for Honda's total sales for the month of May 2363 units or 35% of total sales.
After the Honda Freed, which the proponent of the next sale is a New Honda Honda Jazz, recorded sales of 2344 units, an increase of 60% over the previous month which is only sold 1461 units.
Besides New Honda CR-V also recorded sales of 1641 units in May. In total, Honda CR-V has sold over 4368 units from January to May 2012.
Honda models, which was launched in late May, New Honda City also has recorded sales of 239 units in May. This is the first sales figures recorded by the Honda City in 2012 since the loss of supply from Thailand due to flooding.
While for the Honda Odyssey, in May last record sales as much as 146 units.
Meanwhile, the supply of other Honda sedan models from Thailand still blocked so it does not record sales in the month of May.
"We expect supply to models other Honda sedan could be back to normal in the near future so that we can meet consumer demand in Indonesia," said Marketing & Aftersales Service Director PT Honda Prospect Motor Jonfis Fandy in his official statement.
