Agent licensee Honda cars in Indonesia, PT Honda Prospect Motor (HPM)
Agent licensee Honda cars in Indonesia, PT Honda Prospect Motor (HPM) announced today, to recall and repair or call 42 000units of Jazz and City production in Indonesia 2006-2008. Recall is done because the power window problem.
This is the second time this year Honda Indonesia conduct a recall, after February 2011 did the same against the All NewJazz, City and Freed for Lost Motion Spring replacement parts on the trigger valve (rocker arm) in the cylinder head.
Jonfis Fandy, Director of Marketing and Sales Service HPM toKOMPAS.com, today (5 / 9) said the damage to the power window buttons happen because consumers clean the interiorwith a liquid containing silicon. The liquid seeps into the cracksaround the button. As a result, the button does not functionnormally.
"In Indonesia, this issue has not been ditemukan.Tetapi becauseit is the responsibility of the manufacturer, we willmemanggiilsekitar 42,000 units of both the model and replace itfor free button," said Jonfis.
Jonfis continued, than 42,000 units in the recall, is dominated by the Jazz 80 percent and 20 percent (City). Improvements massstart 23 September 2011 held simultaneously in the officialHonda dealers throughout Indonesia. "We soon announce detailsof this recall via the mass media as soon as possible," saidJonfis.
